More stories about the stabbing and corking of a reporter by two men in the United Kingdom.
As reported by the Guardian, the pair were attempting to reach a man at a supermarket in the English city of Manchester on Friday afternoon when they were attacked.
A passerby noticed a man and woman arguing, and called police.
The two men, aged 28 and 29, were arrested and detained on suspicion of attempted murder, and are due to appear in Manchester Magistrates’ Court today.
Police say that they did not believe the stabbing was random.
In a statement, the Metropolitan Police said: “A 28-year-old man and a 29-year of age man were arrested on suspicion on suspicion that they attempted to rob a man in the Trafford shopping centre.
Police are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed this incident to contact police on 101.
The men are due before the Manchester Magistrate’s Court on Monday.”

The incident comes just over a week after a man was stabbed in central London while trying to flee from two men who were chasing him, according to the Independent.
The two attackers, who were identified by the BBC as 24-year old Paul and 21-year older Jordan, were later arrested and charged with attempted murder.
