In Yosemite, the weather is warm, but not hot.
The weather is humid.
The water is cold.
And you have to be on a leash.
Hiking Yosemite is hard enough without being limited by these factors.
Now the National Park Service is asking that people who hike today to stay on the trails.
“Hiking today in Yosemite is a privilege and a challenge,” National Park Superintendent Dan Wenk wrote in an email.
“But we ask that everyone do so responsibly and stay on trail.
That’s the right thing to do.”
Today’s hike is set for 4:30 a.m. in Yosemite National Park, the park service said.
